Is it a sin to be curious

Hello, I was wondering if being curious is a sin. Im in high school so Ive seen couples kiss before, and the other day I was wondering what it would be like to be kissed, I am a girl and my best friend is a guy, so i brought it up and we both decided it was a terrible idea. Is the curiousity of wondering what a first kiss would be like a sin?
 
I personally do not think that being curious about one’s first kiss is a sin. God has given us our minds, thoughts, and will. Nothing He gives us is evil. So - I think that being your age and your experience and knowledge at this point in your life - it is acceptable for you to wonder what this kiss may be like. It is a natural curiosity. Just pray that Our Lord will keep you pure until marriage. I will pray that Our Blessed Mother helps you remain chaste and lady-like during this phase of your life. God bless you Sweetheart.

ok. Good. I have a slight tendency towards scrupulosity, so yeah, you can probably see my thinking behind it.

Curiousity can go too far and become sinful. For instance, when someone’s curiousity about kissing leads them to think sinfully about that sort of activity, which you don’t seem to have done.

However, too much curiousity about our neighbors can lead to a delight in scandal and/or acceptance of gossip. Also, we should not be curious above our abilities or resources–IOW, we should not neglect our duties to pursue knowledge we don’t need to fulfill our duties.

Like everything else, it’s a balancing act 🙂
