Consider that Jesus was probably married to Mary and Martha at Cana. Of course, in polygamous circumstancs, matrimonial LOVE is as crucial as in monogamous circumstances. Don’t you think it is more important to focus on the love between the husband and the wife or wives than upon the number of wives? Obviously, when God decrees monogamy, more than one wife is a sin.

God never commanded polygamy.

God created man and one woman and commanded them to be one. This is the foundation. It hasn’t changed.
 
Do not covet thy neighbor’s wife.

Does it apply to women? do not covet thy neighbor’s husband?
