I would think alot of people spend more time at work than they do giving to God.I think this is an excellent question. Do your material goods suck more time out of you than you give to God? For example, do you spend more time playing your game systems etc, than you spend in prayer time? A disproportionate amount of time?
I think we should all do that from time to time. Think of it like a spiritual ‘spring cleaning’.you may want to scale back and start to refocus and re-dedicate yourself to God.
You are correct - but this post was not about work or school or any of the primary ways you must spend your day ( being a parent, student, etc.). It was about pleasure time.I would think alot of people spend more time at work than they do giving to God.
I spend more time studying than I do giving to God, but if I changed that I may fail my exams.
Surely its all about striking the right balance, and can we, rather than God, define what that balance is?’.
With all due respect, the post was about material goods. In which case I was wrong to ramble on about temporal issues. For this, I am sorry. It was selfish and ignorant of me.You are correct - but this post was not about work or school or any of the primary ways you must spend your day ( being a parent, student, etc.). Try not to let possessions be the master of you. It’s when you lose that control that you have a problem, in my opinion
