I have a question,

my wife only by marriag thru our Lord (we considerd it a lawfull marriage that our rings were blessed on the alter) not on paper passt away 7 months ago from cancer.

Now I am in contact with her best friend, and she was like a sister to her. Things are getting pretty serious between us but we are having major problems.

She has fallen in love with me and feels guilty because she thinks that being with me that I won´t see my wife in heaven.

So my question ist:

Will I see my wife in heaven if i get involved with another women here and now?

Will thist women that I am with now see her best friend which was like a sister to her when she goes to heaven?

And what if I remarry? Will I still see my wife in heaven? Will her sister see her if i marry her?

These questions are tearing us appart spiritually as well a mentally.

Please help us, what should we do?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Mark,

Your vows were until death and you fulfilled them. You are free to marry the woman you mention WITHOUT feeling guilty. The goal of the sacrament of Matrimony it union with God.
In heaven we will be united with everyone else there by our union with Him. You, your wife and this woman (even if you marry her) with be full of happiness and joy. You have nothing to worry about or feel guilty for. The Lord may very well be calling you to marry each other.

Merry Christmas!
