That’s not how Catholics determine what is sin, rhiannonh. Fortunately, what we think is a lot less important than what GOD SAYS. Sin is always sin no matter what we think or want to believe. Please try not to advise Catholics about sin - you are not Catholic.

This is not a sin, I have visited Planned Parenthood’s websites many times, gathering statistics to use against them. If you click on an ad on their website, that is giving them a contribution, so not a good idea. But doing research for pro life purposes is not a sin.

If you suspect you have issues with scrupulosity, you need to be under the care of a spiritual director who can work with you. Your priest would be the starting point for this.
