I understand that Good Friday is the most Solemn day of the year for Catholics however, a Christian band (which I really want to see) will be coming to Australia to play at a Christian Musical Festival (Easterfest). It is the first time the band will have traveled to Australia so this may be the only opportunity that I will get for a VERY long time to see them live.
Would it be acceptable for me to attend the concert in the evening of Good Friday if I was to still observe all of the normal obligations however, make additional sacrifices?
I fully intend to forget about the concert if I discover that it is 100% inappropriate however, I want to investigate all options before giving it up.
Some ideas that I have are:

- Could I make time for extra prayer on Friday?
- Could I make up for it on the Wednesday/Thursday?
