Is it and will it be possible for one to ask Jesus to make himself known to us once again?

Would it be to much to ask or too disrespectful to ask Jesus to come join us again in our lives and in our world? Can a Good God give us Jesus again but this time as a companion and friend. In other words, can our God allow for us, in our nature, to commune with Him in human form. As Jesus. Would this be wrong or too much to ask from a deity such as ours. I remember he didn’t blast Thomas for his doubt but welcomed him to touch and feel Christ at his resurrection. Can we too be given this opportunity if we ask of it? With God, all is possible. So is this a possibility…or would we not recognize Him or worse be putting him to death again?

I think your last sentence sums it up nicely. The world would not recognize Him. He would be crucified all over again. Perhaps not physically, but in other ways. “If they did not believe Moses and the prophets, they will not believe a man risen from the dead.”

You can ask Jesus anything you want, but expect silence or “no” in an overwhelming number of cases. He loves you so much. You’re the apple of his eye, he knows how to make us feel loved and special. He is love, our dear Jesus.

Divine revelation tells us that when He returns, it will be in glory and as Judge. It would be presumptuous to ask for something contrary to His revealed plan. He seems to have willed that for now, we live by faith.

That said, in very real ways He is still with us. We can learn to enjoy His company in the reserved Sacrament, in Holy Communion, and in His indwelling in our souls. No one else gives keeps company with us in these most profound ways.
