I have just a couple more hurdles to clear before I am comfortable making a full conversion to the Catholic faith.
One of them is the use of the title “Holy Father” in reference to the Pope.
This title is found one time in the Bible (John 17:11) when Jesus uses it when speaking to God.
I’m looking for an explanation of why, then, it’s appropriate to give this title to a man.
Thank you very much!
