Is it good to not care to associate with users?

Is it good to not associate with people who only see you as a source and be careless about their needs and wants when all they really want to do is line their own pockets or get their amusement at the expense of others?
 
If someone comes to me I need this or that or my bills are behind that’s on you I don’t care.
 
Of course you shouldn’t… When someone abuses your friendship and mistakes kindness for weakness, it’s time to end it… You seem like a nice person who helped others and came to the realization of what they were doing … There are good people and bad people in the world, I pray you find the good ones and they find you. Most of them tell me God is going to punish you if you don’t help me no God will not punish me I hope not.
