Is it inappropriate to request a certain priest?

i am currently taking instruction to become catholic and am nervous about my first confession. there are two priest that serve our parish, one young, and one not so young. i think it would be easier to confess to the younger priest. am i wrong to think this? is it rude to request one priest over the other?

As a penitent it is appropriate to choose your confessor. Feel free to choose.
