Is it ok for me to type and print out a prayer from a book?

In a book called “Hell Plus How to Avoid Hell” there is a prayer for a Perfect Act of Contrition. I would like to type this out and print it so I would have this prayer by my side in case I am unfortunate enough to fall into mortal sin. Is this in any way illegal or wrong?

Hi PMV,

What you ask is perfectly okay, since you are using it for your own use. If you were using it for sale or perhaps trying to take credit for it yourself that would be another thing alltogether, but what you ask is not only okay, but I’m pretty sure that both the author and the publisher would feel that their efforts had been rewarded in your response to their book.

TAN does turn some good stuff don’t they? 👍
Pax tecum,

If you want to be sure to cover all bases, type the name of the publisher, & title of book on the same paper. That way, you credit them as your source.
As long as you do that, this falls under “reasonable use”–the book was printed for people to use.
God bless.
