Is it ok to visit a Hindu Temple for educational purposes?

I am looking to learn about other faiths and whilst I wont take part in their religious ceremonies, I was wondering whether it was ok to visit their places of worship as an observer to see what they get up to and learn about their beliefs.

Is this offensive to God?
