My Bishop would disagree with you. But then he speaks all the biblical languages or reads them or does both. So whether it is plant or animal, only John the Baptist and the author of the Gospels really knows. We can ask one day

buys a vowel…

Pretty easy to know if its a plant or animal.
I mean Google seems to know. My bishop thinks green bay has a super bowl team. The words aren’t even close.

not sure if this is significant in Super Bowl, but I saw on tv the red sox winning the world series, last night. I went to one of their games, it was an experience. In a good way.

in Boston or chicago or wherever their home ground is 🙂

Personally, I never heard that locust is referring to a plant and since there are still places where people eat insects and their grubs, I assumed the literal word locust meant the insect.

I am Catholic and have been a vegetarian since around 1985. I don’t know why it would be against our faith, don’t worry about it!

The locust and wild honey thing could also just be a colloquialism meaning he ate a spartan diet, not necessarily that that’s literally all he ate.
