Is it okay to biuy a Rosary from a store owned by members of a schismatic group?

My wife bought a rosary from a bookstore that had a bunch of SSPX fliers and brochures for free by the cash register. I don’t know if the owners are schismatics, but I can only assume so by their implicit endorsement of SSPX by handing out the brochures. We didn’t take any brochures, and the rosary is an ordinary rosary.

The question is: was it okay to buy a rosary from a Catholic bookstore owned by members of a schismatic group like SSPX? Are we obligated to return it?

SSPX is not technically “in schism” – they are irregular, but the excommunications for their bishops was lifted in 2009.

FWIW, you can buy books published by Angelus Press (owned by SSPX) in many Catholic bookstores (including the one at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception). So if it’s OK for a faithful bookstore to sell Angelus stuff, why wouldn’t it be OK to buy a Rosary from an SSPX shop?

The SSPX are Catholic. It’s fine to buy from their shops.

Here’s how I’d think of it. Would you buy what you’re buying from any other store where you don’t know the persuasion of the owner? Surely, there’s many people in the word in much worse of a position than the SSPX.
