Is it okay to have pictures of a monarch displayed in church?

I live in a Catholic chaplaincy where there is a photo of a monarch (who is not Roman Catholic or at all in communion with Rome) hanging up at the entry of our house. This monarch has repeatedly expressed views that are in contrast to the teaching of the Church. Is it acceptable to have this photo up in a Catholic chaplaincy house where many international students live?

So far as I can tell, your title question apparently does not match the situation about which you posted. This picture is not displayed in a church but in a private residence that houses Catholic students. My guess is that the picture is of the monarch of the country in which the house is located. If that is the case, then this is merely a gesture of respect for the host country and no more indicates approval for the monarch’s policies than would an American Catholic residence that chose to hang a picture of the current President of the United States out of respect for the United States and the office of the presidency.
