Is it possible for a woman to be married with children and work outside the home?

I was reading this article and after that the comments.
One of the commentators (bottom of the page) claimed that single,celibate women can work, but not married women. According to him, married women who were open to life (not using contraception) should have a baby every couple of years and that working would leave the children “alone and devoid of parental love.” Therefore, it’s apparently “impossible” for a woman to be married, open to life, and work.
I myself have a mother who works and has been working since I was young. I did not feel devoid of parental love and in fact I felt like she was always there for me. I was extremely offended when I read that comment.

Is this a fair point, or is this just something conservatives think?

The Catholic Church does not have a position on this matter. Women are free to choose to either be mothers who have other jobs or not, basing their decision on what’s best for their family. In the workforce the Church teaches women are to be treated equally to men:

As far as personal rights are concerned, there is an urgent need to achieve real equality in every area: equal pay for equal work, protection for working mothers, fairness in career advancements, equality of spouses with regard to family rights and the recognition of everything that is part of the rights and duties of citizens in a democratic State.
