Is it possible for us to move our Easter so that it coincides with the Orthodox Easter?

Hi!
I’ve heard the following from people I trust:

1. It is not possible for us to move our easter so that it coincides with the orthodox easter because a council decided to use the Gregorian Calendar, and we can not go against a council.
2. It is possible to move easter. JPII wanted to. We should respect the easter candle miracle in Jerusalem. We promised the Syrian Orthodox to move Easter if they moved Christmas - they moved Christmas but we haven’t fulfilled our part of the deal.

What’s true?

Is it ok or disobedient to want to move easter so that we may celebrate it together with the Orthodox?
