Is it proper to wear a wedding ring after a spouse's death?

Does the Church have any rules about continuing to wear wedding rings after the death of a spouse? I continue to wear my wedding ring set but I am not sure how the Church views this or if it’s okay for an individual to make that decision herself.
 
The Church doesn’t make rules about such matters. A widow or widower is free to decide for herself or himself whether or not to continue to wear rings after the death of the spouse.
