Is it sinful to do these things in DotA?

1. In a game called DotA, there is an item called “satanic”. It does lifesteal, but I doubt it relates/does not relate to actual satanism. Is it sinful to use that item?
2. In the aformentioned DotA, a character is called Doom, or another name which is related to the devil. Is it sinful to play that character?

I would like answers from people who have actually played DotA, any thoughts on this?

Nothing that happens in DotA is real. It is just a game.

There is a reason for concern with games which trivialize or glorify things which are related to Satan or diabolical things in general. Satan is serious, and terrifying, in real life. For this reason, I myself would avoid a game or other trivial thing which casually throws in things like this.

That said, I wouldn’t say that this is necessarily sinful to play. However, you are right to be paying attention to the cautionary question your conscience is asking you.
