Is it St. Padre Pio, or St. Pio?

Same with St. Pope John Paul II, Pope St. John Paul II, and St. John Paul II, I have often wondered if there is a proper way in saying these saints names, or if it just doesn’t really matter. thanks!

The English Roman Missal refers to him as Saint Pius of Pietrelcina. Most people know him as Padre Pio. Pio is Italian for the name Pius.

However if you said St. Pius of Pietrelcina, St. Pio, or St. Padre Pio it doesn’t really matter since it all refers to the same person.
