Seems kind of dumb. I know. Some background:
I had to leave my job in December due to my asthma. my doctor told me I am hypersensitive, and I am allergic to dust mites which is bad because I worked in retail, picked up clothes off the floor, dusted them, and that might as well be like someone allergic to peanuts eating their trigger, peanuts. I had to quit after I talked to my doc about it. My family is really, really tight on money. We struggle monthly but God always pulls us through. We can’t get food help (ebt) even though we struggle with that too. I find it hard to believe that people who buy stacks of soda boxes can get food stamps, but a family of 7 actually OWE the state because they gave us “too much” one time. I still thank God for what we do have and I know these trials will pass.
Point of this post is I am starting college, I applied for help and grants and got enough to cover my school and book costs, PRAISE GOD. I’m going to school because I want to work in ministry in the church. My mother gave me money to buy myself school clothes and school things. I feel guilty for taking it. Is it wrong to take it? School starts in less than 2 weeks. I’m re-using things to save money like my backpack from 3 years ago and shoes I got some time ago. Is it wrong to accept help from my parents? I feel selfish.
She just got out of the emergency room too. i don’t want her to be worrying about paying bills. I’m going to look for work too, I haven’t found any yet. I’m relying on my grants to try and pay my parents back if possible.
Thank you and God Bless. Even though we struggle, God is providing for us! After years of battling anxiety and the fear of driving, God conquered that for me so i now have my license and can get myself to school and drive my sibling to work, grocery run etc!
Because I asked him to help me trust in his will. God is so great. Even when we’re struggling, i see things clearer. May God bless you all.
