Is it wrong to be a critic

Hi all,

I wanted to ask this question as I’m feeling guilty and I’m not sure if I should or not.

Here’s what it is, I love perfume and I do a lot of testing of samples. Particularly natural perfume from independent companies. I test them and then review them on a perfume site.
I am very honest in my reviews. My latest review was about a natural perfume that is very expensive and no where near worth the price tag. So I included that assessment as part of my review. I wanted people to know that would not be getting what they paid for.

So my question is, am I wrong for doing this? I mean this is a persons business. I this a sinful thing to do?

No, there is certainly nothing wrong with providing your considered opinion. It would be wrong if you were in direct competition with a company and making harsh criticisms of their products in order to mislead folks. Your personal opinion is valued and trusted by others. You are protecting them. God Bless You.

I don’t see sin as long as what you are writing is true. If you didn’t like something, that’s fine to say.

I think part of the problem is that when people ask for feedback, they may automatically expect glowing reviews no matter what.

That is irresponsible business management because you need to know what people like and what they don’t so you know the supply and demand of the market.

The only thing I would say is just to make sure you aren’t being emotional when writing reviews, but professional.

So I’m not seeing anything wrong here.

Do not overthink. I think guilt can be productive, but often it is not. You can be honest, but do not be harsh. If you are truly worried, whom else can you seek but God to calm your spirit. God bless
