Yes, it is wrong to have your mother baptize you. Baptism intitiates you into the Body of Christ which consisits of the whole Church. It is not merely a private thing. It is the greatest thing that can ever happen to you because through it you become a member of Christ. As a result, something is expected of you.
One doesn’t take this lightly. You owe God the effort of understanding His Church and what He has commanded it to teach. So I would advise you to see your priest and make arrangements to prepare for you baptism. You are in our prayers.
