Is it wrong to marry a Muslim?

i am 26yrs old and been in love with a muslim guy for the past 3 and half years…my parents are strict catholics and they do not agree for this marriage wat shud i do…is it wrong…but i cant live with another guy…and he is perfectly ok with me being a catholic…parents are forcing me to get married to a cathollic guy who they choose…but i will not be happy…i want my parents and my man…can u plz reply???
