Is it wrong to pray the rosary to help me fall asleep?

Over the past two years, I have found myself more and more drawn to praying the rosary. I’ve been having some trouble with insomnia and have taken to praying the rosary, counting with my fingers instead of beads, to relax myself into sleep; but I wonder if this less-than-attentive practice is somehow disrespectful to the Lord and to our Lady. (Bedtime isn’t the *only *time I try to pray the rosary.) Guidance, please?

There’s nothing wrong with inadvertently falling asleep while praying the rosary, but I cannot recommend deliberately using the rosary as a mind-numbing sleep inducer. That is what counting sheep is for. Save the rosary for when you are alert and attentive.
