traditionally. I do not go out on Holy Days (in the sense that I go out with friends) and stay home or go to church (to reflect solemnity) no loud music, etc… basically I try to keep an aura of solemnity and sadness and dont go to places of entertainment to avoid laughing.

but I was wondering would to work out or go jogging in one of the Holy Days?

These sound like acts of personal piety. If they work for you, continue doing so.

How could working out or jogging make a day less holy? Perhaps if you were jogging around a Golden Calf, but otherwise you’d be fine.

Lol… I dont know how catholicism in other cultures work… but in Filipino tradition we are encouraged either to stay home the whole day and pray or go to church and spendmuch of our time there… I remember back home we used to sit in the pews for hours just sitting but honestly I dont think I can do this though I will be praying alot of devotions like the Holy Wounds, Chaplet of Precious Blood, Divine mercy… but not for the whole day (realistically speaking)

Sometimes (especially in my household) there is even a pressure / requirement to give up TV or playing computer games or any form of entertainment (actually, no technology at all) for the matter from the days beggining with Good Friday to Easter and especially Black Saturday when Jesus is considered “dead” the whole day and have to be “depressed” as well

Loud music, violent movies and yelling and screaming, arguements are definitely no-nos especially in Black Saturday.

And yes… cant forget about doing atleast one great act of mercy 🙂

Honestly… I dont plan on touching any of my gaming consoles… but I dont htink I can stay at home doing nothing either though do plan to go to church but I doubt I will be there the whole day… (national holidays here btw in Canada so no work)… So I am thinking either go workout or jog. BTW the gym I am in has alot of loud music

Follow your traditions, parish priest and/or your bishop! 👍
