When I was in the middle east I fought for my country and our freedoms. I did what I was told to do and what I needed to do to defend myself. Though I have made friends with many muslim people, I felt what I did was easier justified by my heart by not fighting another christain.

My grandfather on the other hand fought in WW2 as an american against the germans. He died a catholic man and he had 4 confirmed kills, 2 of which he later learned after revisiting germany, where catholics them selves. I understand the nazi hand over germany during that time, but I am wondering is God with us as a soldier when we do the things we have to do, even if it is to another one of his children?
