Is listening to 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' a sin?

No, you won’t hear that from me.

CCC:

In any case, wine is ok because our LORD drank it. To object to it would be to try to improve on HIM. Not a great idea.

But HE never smoked marijuana or dropped acid.

And with regard to wine, HE had access to it on HIS last night of human life. Yet although HE was grieving and so frightened He would later sweat blood (you or I would die long before that point), He did NOT get drunk, He kept His mind in phase the entire time.

So how can you say clouding up your mind with illegal substances (against our biblical duty to Caesar) is acceptable just for fun?

Actually, there was recent archeological evidence unearthed that Jesus may have used marijuana as an anointing oil. That was its use in those days. He is called the anointed one for a reason.

P.S. clearly what is meant here is that excessive use of addictive substances is not permitted within the church. “Acting contrary to moral law” happens more often when people drink too much wine and lose control. Whereas I do not find this when consuming marijuana. I also do it in moderation.

Please cite.

I doubt it, as anointing Biblically was done with olive, not cannabis.

And using the oil for whatever purpose is not the same as smoking it for fun.
