I listen to TONS of Christian music. Contemporary, that is. I just don’t have a heart for the gospel stuff outside of Mass. However, I do listen to non-Christian music. My favorite band is A7X, or, their full name, Avenged Sevenfold.

They play good sounding metal-core. To get a feeling for what they are and all that stuff, take a jump to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/avenged_sevenfold

So, after reading the entry on them, what do you suggest? Are they good or bad to listen to? Trust me, if you’ve read my posts, you’ll know how I stand in my walk with God, and I can honestly say, A7X does not in the least bit hinder me in anyway, and I’ve been listening to them for years.

I’d like to sum up Christian Music with a scene from South Park:

(Cartman is starting a Christian Rock band)
Stan: “Cartman, you don’t know anything about Christianity.”
Cartman: “I know enough to exploit it.”

If the shoe fits…

I don’t think God’s gonna kick you out of heaven for not listening to Steven Curtis-Chapman or Relient K. 😃
