Mat 23:37 RSV “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!
Mat 23:38 RSV Behold, your house is forsaken and desolate.
Mat 23:39 RSV For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”
And as you can see in the verse below, the people at Jerusalem say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Joh 12:12 RSV The next day a great crowd who had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.
Joh 12:13 RSV So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”
Joh 12:14 RSV And Jesus found a young *** and sat upon it; as it is written,
Joh 12:15 RSV “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on an ***'s colt!”
So I am just wondering, is Matthew 3:37-39 a reference to the Triumphal Entry?
