Is Mormon conversion possible in Utah County?

mormanism needs pressure from the community to keep going because it contradicts reason. i grew up in new jersey and never met a mormon there. when i moved to more isolated areas further west, i met plenty.

Funny, I wonder if we passed each other. I started off unbaptized in MN and ended up Catholic in UT, whereas you started off Mormon in UT and ended up Catholic in MN.

One of LDS’s reasoning that the great apostasy theory is valid is all the times Israel strayed from God’s teachings and his constant rebukes to them. But if you read them as a whole, you will see that God gave the Israelites just what they asked for. Time and again He gave it to them. You will also notice that it was the Israelites leaders that drew them into apostasy. Joseph Smith was an arrogant, prideful, boastful man. I believe it was his arrogance and pride that drew his band of followers into another apostasy. Just like your arrogance and pride are drawing you farther away from Christ and what he teaches. I even say the same about the other guy.

I suggest you go back and read Mathew, Mark, Luke, & John again. LOOK at how our Lord Jesus Christ TAUGHT. Was he an arrogant &*@? NO. Did he tell other to be? NO.
