Hi.
When I was “confirmed”, my sponsor could not make it and so my mother stood in for him because we only found out that morning right before mass. This was at a time when I knew little of my faith and so it meant little to me.
Now that I am learning more about my faith, I’m beginning to wonder if my confirmation is valid, and if it is not, what I should do to get it validated, so to speak. I saw somewhere on the forum that a parent CANNOT be a sponsor by canon law and I’m pretty sure that my confirmation is now invalid.
