Ciao Anthony.
Based on your last question about pride, it seems that you may be struggling with scrupulosity; being anxious that you have committed a sin when you haven’t or are convinced that venial sin is mortal.
You have not given context to your question about overestimation, because it depends on what is being overestimated.

Hello Viaetveritasetvita,

Today I had been doing some work and there was a thought the popped into my head about the result of it, which is kind of overestimating.
However, I knew about the sin of pride already.

Please help

This is no sin at all. We all have thoughts and emotions, it is part of the human condition, and it seems you were just having normal natural thoughts.
If you are interested here is a link to st. Thomas’ definition of venial and mortal sin.

Do not beat yourself up as you haven’t done anything wrong 😉

Not generally. Sometimes it could be but I really don’t think you have a problem in this area, judging by your previous post. You seem to have a bit of an obsession with this topic. I would guess that you are over-analysing some of your feelings and perhaps you suffer from a bit of scrupulosity. This is the real issue you need to deal with.
The fact that you’re worrying about this is actually an indicator that you are NOT guilty of a sin of pride because you are obviously concerned about this. You should consider this in future and maybe say a prayer and let your mind be at ease that you are not sinning.
