I’m 20 years old and have a friend that is the same age. We are close, like sisters and we grew up together. She isn’t catholic like I am but she is still devout christian with a great love of god. The problem is that before senior year of high school she got pregnant with her first son and welcomed him into the world. After graduation she married her long time boyfriend and father of her son and a year later they had another son. So it has been 2 years now and her husband has been horrible to her ans her sons. He regularly cheats on her and puts her down and only uses her when he wants something and uses her kind nature against her. He only says he loves her and is only nice to her when he knows it will be beneficial to him. Then he uses those short lived good instances to tell her hes a good person. Then he constantly insults her and leaves her alone with the kids. Recently They moved to FL from where we live in DC and before they moved her husband’s father co-signed her her to buy a new car (Her previous one was wrecked in an accident) last week she had to come back here to deal with court for her car accident but then she decided to stay her closer to people she knew so she got a new job here again. Her husband has been taking the car she bought to go out and sleep with other girls. She needs the car now to go to her job but he told her that he can take it when he wants because his dad helped her buy it. (The car is only in her name though not his. she works and he doesn’t) she needs to work and have someone watch the kids but he refuses to give her the car when she needs it or watch the kids. H recently pushed and hit her to get the car keys from her. She is pregnant with their 3rd child and she is extremely stressed doesn’t really want to have another child with him or be with him anymore. She told me sometimes she prays she will miscarry. She doesn’t want to just go and get an abortion(Thank god) i want to pray for her strength and gods help in her life but i dont know what to think bout praying for miscarriage

Thank you, i truly believe that as well but it is always so hard for her to let him go bevause he was her first love and first everything. She mentioned to me today that she may also have police intervention but for now i just wanted to see peoples thoughts about praying for the death of your unborn child. Like i understand why she doesn’t want to have another child with him and at this time but i dont know if i myself should also pray that maybe she have a miscarriage.

There are so many other things she should be praying for. A miscarriage is not something she should pray for. That’s just wrong.

thats how i felt when she said that to me. I was heartbroken. Of course she prays for other things and tries to be a good christian and shes really in tune with trying to go with gods will and let things happen. Right now shes just so brought down and its making her not want anything anymore. When she first found out about this pregnancy she wasnt happy about it but she wasnt upset, She hoped and prayed for a girl since she has two boys and she was slowly preparing for this new arrival but now in all her stress and hard times she feels like its not good to bring another child into the family. She doesnt have a mother and father around for her. She is living with her foster mom from high school now and her foster mom often tells her to just go live in a homeless shelter (But she lets her biological children come home and stay home as they please) so my friend doesnt have much and constantly has to do things on her own. She hates asking too much of people. Her stress interfears with her health and her happiness. she tries to just worry about being there for her sons and just leaning on god. She doesnt get time to be happy for herself and feel like things are going to be ok. Shes never had life be calm for her even when she was a child

do you think it’s okay to pray that someone else dies because it would make someone elses’ life easier?

not at all that is why i am so against abortion. She isnt saying shes praying for that just to make her life easier but because things wouldn’t be easy on that child either. She always wants the best for her kids they’re pretty much all she has. Shes not sure she can handle being alone with not much money, no place of her own and 2 toddlers and one baby. I can tell she doesn’t want to think so badly like she does but shes in a dark place.

she’s not thinking straight. the child being alive is better than the child being poor or having a hard life. life is always better than death.

and if she feels that way she can give the child up for adoption if she can’t take care of the child

This lady is being abused, emotionally and physically.
She is not thinking straight. Hence the prayer for a bad thing (miscarriage). If she were in her right mind, she wouldn’t be praying for this.
She is probably just thinking how she wishes she could somehow get free from the whole situation.
