Is Purgatory mentioned in the Bible?

I am a non-Catholic, but I am trying to better understand the Catholic faith.

I cannot find anything about Purgatory in the Bible (that’s not to say that it is not there, I just haven’t found it yet). Is it in the Bible somewhere? If so, where? If not, where does this idea stem from?
