Some people look at Christianity and they see a beautiful story of redemption, love, and hope. Others see an outdated myth that contradicts it’s self, and uses guilt and scare tricks to make you believe. Do you guys honestly believe that everybody could grow to love Christianity? The same question could be applied to other religions.

If you search for the truth and are open you will find God and Catholicism.

The Christian answer is that the former group has been graced with the gift of faith while the latter has not (because they are unwilling to receive the gift). The gift of faith changes our perspective.

As a Christian, I believe that every person possesses the ability to receive the gift of faith – it is what we are here for – and hence everybody could grow to love Christianity.

You have to be careful with the idea that Catholicism can be viewed from different perspectives. Not all perspectives are equal or legitimate. The only two which I believe to be valid would be the Thomist/Augustinianism of the Western Church and the Mysticism of the Eastern Church.

Christ asked His disciples," Who do you say that I am?" The answer to that question determines the answer to yours…God Bless …teachccd 🙂

Is love a perspective thing?

In my opinion, it has to be.

IMO God is love.

Therefore, IMO religion must be a perspective thing.

At one level, perspective just is. It is the view from wherever one is. The necessary questions are: How does that view distort the object under view? and What is necessary to mitigate the distorting aspects of the current view.
