As a Protestant (who is now in RCIA), I was taught once-saved, always-saved, but I never believed that. But this opens up the question, what must I do to be saved (or continue to be saved)?
Does un-repented sin open you up to damnation? Why?
And what is truly needed to repent of sin? Is confession to an ordained priest required?
The OSAS folks will tell you that none of that is needed. Hence, according to those folks, the Catholic Church is, at best, only a preference in worship style.
