Is Satan's kingdom divided or united?

In Mark 3:23-27 Jesus has a discussion with the scribes about Satan’s kingdom:

And he called them to him, and spoke to them in parables, ‘How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but his end has come.

So, just to make sure that I am reading this right - because of the context of this passage (he was explaining why he himself could not be acting under the power of Satan) Jesus is saying that Satan’s kingdom is not actually divided but is still at large, working in a coordinated, united, systematic way. Is that right? I guess I was hoping that somewhere in this, there is a clue that it will be Satan’s downfall that his kingdom is a house divided.

Any help understanding this passage appreciated.

It also implies that by ascribing the power of Jesus to Satan, the scribes ‘reveal their own collaboration with the devil’s kingdom.’ As the Ignatius study bible says: ‘Satan’s house will fall because Christ will conquer him, not because his demons are weakened by division within their own ranks.’

Thanks for the Answer I also see it as a warning from Jesus that division of God Kingdom is a act of the Devil, and the Fact that the Pharisees we accusing Jesus casting out demons in the name Satan is just another way the Satan was trying to use them to Divide the Kingdom of God by turning people away from the Miracles of the Lord Jesus. Reading Matthew 12 you see a little more into this parable in Mark 3 23-27 ,

Matthew 12 :30-32 states {Matthew 12 30. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. 31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.}

I’ve always read that as “Satan’s minions may have their own agendas and twisted ambitions, but they are all united in their delusional view of overthrowing God or becoming God.”

And as others have stated, the good Lord will have the final say.

Satan would not willingly call back evil from a person who had allowed it into him or herself. Possession is the ultimate endgame for Satan.
