Is serenity a virtue?

A big reason I ask is because Father Jonathan Morris has a new book out called The Way of Serenity.

The 7 Cardinal virtues are

• Chastity (purity)
• Temperance (self-restraint)
• Charity (giving)
• Diligence (zeal/integrity/labor)
• Forgiveness (composure)
• Kindness (admiration)
• Humility (humbleness)

Serenity, or peacefulness isnt on the list but that doesnt mean its not worth striving for. There is the Serenity Prayer after all

One of the traditional virtue lists is to combine the four cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, temperance, and fortitude with the three theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity. I think that serenity can fall under the category of fortitude.
