Was anyone arguing it was? This strikes me as a “no duh” type thing.
I’m not aware that anyone is arguing .

I know that this is a forum , but everything doesn’t have to be reduced to an argument .

Fr. Marc Lyden-Smith, parish priest and Sunderland AFC chaplain said that he regularly sees the positive effects of the discipline of sport. “Young people involved in sports teams develop a good sense of community and sportsmanship.” However, he added: “Sometimes their parents think the Sunday match is more important than Mass – you have to get your priorities right.”

I typically see kids who play sports and their families at the Sunday 5 pm Mass, where the kids are often still in their uniforms from the game. Sometimes they go to the Saturday vigil also.
