Is streaming a TV episode sinful?

I have a few friends who do this and I’m not sure if this is sinful or not. I know we’re not supposed to pirate digital media, but just streaming something? I’m not sure. I really could use some help in this regard. One of my friends is asking me about it and I’m not sure how to answer.
 
As Christians we must follow the law unless it results in an objective injustice. In the case of streaming services, as long as the proper copyright laws have been followed (which ensure just compensation to artists and creators) then it is perfectly fine. If a service is skirting the laws on copyrighted material then it would be wrong.
