How many practicing Catholics do you personally know who are leading model lives of Catholic piety and holiness?

Model lives? I don’t know anyone well enough to know that every aspect of their life, through and through, holds up perfectly to any human scrutiny.

I do know people whom you probably mean, though. They are the sort that encourage people to become Christian by example. I know this may be unbelievable, given what so many people say about RCIA, but our current RCIA team consists of exactly who you mean. That would be five lay people (six with me, but don’t count me). That is just the RCIA team. I know of others in my parish, sisters, etc. Plenty to go around.

I’m limited by not knowing many Catholics thoroughly enough to answer your question. I mostly know Protestants and agnostics outside of parish life.
