Is the devil bothering you more than usual?

My brother and I run the famiily business. And in very recent times we have noticed strange things happenning. Which are making our life in business very difficult. Things causing financial pressure, which ultimately effects many families.
Have you noticed the devils are more active in your life than usual just lately? What is your story?
The Pope recently said the devil is working furiously hard at present because he knows that an era of freedom from evil is just around the corner for the world. Pope Leo XIII had that famous vision where the devil was given the 20th century as a time of testing. After which he composed that famous St Michael the Archangel prayer.
The world seems to be in a state of conflict. Especially the Islamic world. All this talk about us being the crusaders, the infidel. The 9/11 attacks with the face of evil in the smoke. Bin Laden trying to start a holy war between Christians aand Muslims.
We have the revelations of Fatima still unfolding.

Well said Salmon. (maybe it’s because I only got 3 hours sleep last night but “Fruit flies like a banana”. Are you talking about the actual insects?)

John, take care brother. If you feel pressures, say an “Our Father” and you will be alright. You may have to say a few of them. The bad guy cannot do anything to you unless you let him.

My brother and I also run a family business. There are alot of normal tensions in something like this anyway. Ask yourself, if you lost it all tomorrow, would it really matter? No, not at all. I’m not saying to skip work next week either.

The only thing we have to worry about is our relationship with God and to put the people He has put in our lives on the right track to Heaven. Don’t waste your time worrying about the loser, put all of your thoughts on Perfection.

I gotta admit that I notice a lot more “strange” things happening in our lives too. One example is when we went to our Diocesan Mass For Life. I went early to pray in front of the clinic and my husband was meeting me at the church (which we had never been to before) with the kids. When he got in the van to come, he noticed the speedometer and RPM meter weren’t working. He drove pretty slow so as not to get a ticket. He tried to call me, but my phone, which is always in my purse, somehow ended up on the floor in the van he was driving! He was almost late. When he got near the church, all the roadsigns had just enough snow covering them to hide the names. Luckily, he found the church and was just in time! After the Mass was over, all the dials worked just fine, and we haven’t had another problem since! It never happened again! So I have to agree that when the devil thinks you are on the right road, he tries a little harder to try to throw you off course!
Just take it in stride and keep on truckin’! He can’t win. We know who wins in the end. Yeah, Jesus!!

Tell me about it John…I run the family business as well and it seems like everything…unexplainable and off the wall things happen for no good reason and it always hurts my pocket book or it leaves me slaving away like a Hebrew slave for 100 hours a week…but I don’t let it get to me…I pray the whole time I am feeling frustrated. I have also added a couple things to my workplace to keep me focused. I have a Crucifix, a beautiful Icon of Christ, the Prayer of Jabez…and coming soon, some portraits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary. I own a restraunt and people have told me “that isn’t good for business and it will drive some customers away”…and I tell them “that is fine…at least I know I will have a restraunt full of Christians I am serving”.

I would take some Holy Water and Blessed salt to your work place and use it regularly or call your parish priest and have your business blessed (and your home too). That will slow them down or even stop them. The Devils hate that.
