My non-Catholic friend said that missing the Good Friday service is okay but that the Easter Mass is the most important one. Because we are worshipping the risen Lord? Is this true? Please answer me. Some of my Catholic friends think the same.

Good Friday is not a holy day of obligation that requires Catholic attendance, but it is still an important holy day on the Catholic liturgical year and Catholics should try to attend if they possibly can. Although Easter Sunday is the more important holy day, it would not have been possible without Good Friday. As Bishop Sheen pointed out, the halo of glory presupposes the crown of thorns.
