Is the Holy Spirit infinite?

OK, this is a reeeeeeally dumb question, but is the Holy Spirit infinite like the Father and Son, meaning it had no beginning? It seems logical that the Spirit always existed and was only revealed when necessary, yet I can’t find an answer to this question in the CCC or scripture.

Any insight?

Yep, the Holy Spirit, being God, is infinite.
From the Athanasian Creed:
  1. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal.
  2. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit.
  3. The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated.
  4. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.
  5. The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal.
  6. And yet they are not three eternals but one eternal.
  7. As also there are not three uncreated nor three incomprehensible, but one uncreated and one incomprehensible.

Acts 5:3-4 says the following:

**But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. ** ________________________________

In the passage, Peter clearly identifies the Holy Spirit with God. If the Holy Spirit is God, as the passage affirms, then He is infinite and eternal.

From the Nicene Creed,

“We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, with the Father and Son He is worshipped and glorified.”

Lord is always a term associated with God, and in Isaiah 40:28 we hear, "Have you not known? Have you not heard?** The LORD is the everlasting God**, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. " Isaiah 45:18 says, "For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
 
Jesus’ divine presence is eternal, but his human form was revealed at a particular point in human history. So too, the Holy Spirit is eternal, although his presence on Earth was not fully understood at the beginning of the Old Covenant.
