Is the Human soul energy?

**People hold that the Human soul is pure energy…

This is my conclusion:
[SIGN]“A soul is not energy… A soul is immaterial and cannot be seen or tested. It doesn’t physically exist as energy or matter in the physical world. That is like saying mathematics or the laws of logic are energy… It is just not feasible. Also if souls are energy then entropy (2nd law of thermodynamics) also applies and souls can degrade so no soul would be immortal. That’s called a Slippery Slope, if you believe souls are energy then you must believe that human souls are not immortal because of entropy (2nd Law of Thermodynamics).”[/SIGN]

The human soul is pure spirit, the same with Angels and God, except God is Pure Existence and the soul and Angels are given existence by God. None of these are material in any sense.

It is true that the human soul interacts with and depends on the body for some of its operations. It does not follow that, therefore it is material. If this were not so one would have to say that Angels and God were also material because they both interact with creation and this would be incorrect. So the fact that immaterial substances can interact with creation does not mean they are material.
