Hi, I was wondering if the Pope is infallible in his thinking? If not, then would you be able to go into detail. I read somewhere that the Holy Spirit guards the Pope from error when exercising Papal Infallibility. I was wondering if you could go into detail about that and how that would work. How would the Holy Spirit guard a Pope and the Bishops in communion with him from error when exercising papal infallibility but at the same time, a pope and bishop still needs to educate themselves on faith and morals and be able to be in error and out of step with the church when not exercising papal infallibility. Thanks!
