Is there a link between artificial birth control and breast cancer?

Does anyone know if any study has ever shown a link between the use of artificial birth control, especially oral contraceptives, and breast cancer? I was just curious if the widespread use of such drugs might account somewhat for the increased incidence of breast cancer, particularly in pre-menopausal women, over the last 30 years. Or could the use of oral contraceptives lead to an increase in breast cancer in the children of mothers who used the drugs?
