Is there a need to go back and confess?

I have a question about past sins. As a child and young teenager I went to confession and I believe confessed those sins the best I could and knew how at the time. I named them, I maybe gave an indication of how often they happened and I didn’t give details that now I know are necessary. When I was confessing I thought I was giving a good confession. As far as I remember I intended tell everything I thought I had to at the time. As an adult I find my conscience being bothered by those sins thinking that they weren’t confessed well enough. But now I know more that I did then. Am I responsible to confess these things again or were they forgiven?

Hi,

No, you do not need to re-confess sins that you already confessed. You don’t want to be scrupulous. Let go of the past.
