It appears the Western world is in a 3 way battle of ideas…Two of these ideas are monotheistic…and one is atheistic at it’s core.

A) American values…based on Judeo-Christian values is in decline

B) Muslim values…based on Sharia Law

C) Leftism…a god-free, defensive value system based on enforced secular goals like absolute equality…eg…there are no gender differences. Leftism is historically unworkable…and this latest form is collapsing financially and socially in rapid fashion…eg…here in CALIFORNIA we have cities going bankrupt based on Leftist corruption while we just passed laws allowing high school boys to shower with the girls if they “feel” like a girl that day.

A and C are in decline in the West…while B is [atleast, demographically] on the rise…therefore any rational observer would have to admit that B looks to be in a winning position at this time.

Ps…As a Christian, I know that God will triumph through Jesus Christ in the end…but the end could well be a million years from now.

It seems that this current “battle” is actually a Christian people having rejected Christianity are collapsing into paganism…and a stronger ideology (monotheistic Islam) is taking over.

As a non-American, I am a little offended that Christian values are equated with ‘American’ values, by which you presumably mean capitalism, the right to carry guns, politicans who look like game show hosts, high schools which call themselves universities, split infinitives, etc. Actually, I would equate ‘American’ values as having an origin in particular forms of Protestantism, and, perhaps, it is these very values which, when extrapolated, give rise to ‘Leftism’.

Perhaps many of our Muslim brothers and sisters are closer to Christian values than many US-Americans. Sorry, but there it is. At least they pray and obey the commandments…

Well, Christianity was considered doomed in the 1st Century. It has been in danger many times since, but keeps coming back. Contrary to the belief of some, it is Atheism that is ultimately doomed because it believes in doom and not much else.

Define ‘stronger.’
“stronger” here means demographically steadfast…durable as a system of belief

Christianity will not die…(I have no doubts)…it just might be greatly persecuted to the point of near extinction in the West. Look at Egypt.

I agree.

Our divine Lord ordered us to watch the signs of the times.

I can’t help but think we may be at Matthew 24 verse 8
I don’t expect to be thrown to the lions this week but the Egyptian christians may feel like they are at verse 9.

Matthew 24 : 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Peace
Ed
